Deerfield Valley Inn  • 120 Route 100, West Dover, VT 05356 • (802) 464-6333

front of the deerfield valley inn on a summer's day

The Deerfield Valley Inn was built by John Davis in 1885 from lumber worked in his waterwheel mill located across the street. It was the last such home built in West Dover and the first guest inn in the Mount Snow area. The Inn still has much of the original wax rubbed ash encasements and millwork. Over the years new wings were added to the original building. You will find the Inn on the National Register of Historic Places.

Located in the southern tip of the Green Mountains the Deerfield Valley Inn is at the center of the many exciting activities, which Vermont offers all year long. Downhill skiing in the wintertime is only minutes away at Mount Snow or Haystack. Stratton, Magic Mountain and Bromley are within 45 minutes. Cross-country skiing, snowmobile trails, sleigh rides and ice-skating are a few of the many other activities available only minutes away.

Hiking, biking and mountain biking are popular activities in Mount Snow in the summer time. The Mount Snow Championship Country Club Golfing facilities are available to our guests. Shops with antiques and handcrafted goods are in abundance throughout the area. In addition, art galleries, museums, and wineries offer many diversions as you relax away from your busy daily schedules, and many excellent restaurants located nearby offer both casual and fine dining. So please enjoy visiting our web site, and, in the near future, we hope you will enjoy a stay with us at the Deerfield Valley Inn, in beautiful southern Vermont.

Your Innkeeper, Doreen Cooney
